AI SDR pricing: what each billing unit costs at your volume

The sticker price of an AI SDR is rarely the bill. The billing unit, the contract term and the sending setup decide what you pay, and the only figure worth comparing across vendors is what you pay per qualified opportunity.

Guide8 min readPublished

AI SDR pricing uses four units. Per contact: AiSDR charges $1.50 per person prospected and HubSpot $1 per lead its agent recommends. Flat agent fees: Salesforge lists Agent Frank at $499 a month, billed quarterly. Metered actions: Salesforce Agentforce costs $0.10 an action or $2 a conversation. Quoted plans: Artisan and Qualified publish no price. Checked 30 October 2026, published fees at 1,000 contacts a month run from about $500 to $1,500, before mailboxes and review time.

  • Price every vendor at the same monthly contact volume and the same three-month term before you compare.
  • Add the lines pricing pages leave off: sending mailboxes, LinkedIn seats, overage and the hours someone spends approving drafts.
  • At low fees, review time can be half the bill: in our worked example it's $2,808 of a $5,553 quarter.
  • Flat fees win if the pilot works; pay as you go wins if it fails. The crossover in our example is about six weeks.
  • Take an annual discount only if you'd keep the tool a full year anyway: 20% off breaks even at 9.6 months.

This guide is for founders, sales leaders and RevOps managers who have decided to try an AI SDR and need a budget. It puts published prices on the same footing, adds the costs pricing pages leave off, and shows what a first quarter costs under each type of plan, whether the test works or fails. For what each tool does and how they rank, see the AI SDR tools comparison. For the human side of the sum, see what an SDR costs against AI.

Published AI SDR prices, checked 30 October 2026

We read each vendor's own pricing page on 30 October 2026. Prices are in US dollars before tax. "Not published" means the vendor asks you to contact sales.

The units don't line up: a "person prospected", a "lead recommended for outreach", an "action" and a "seat" measure different things, so a lower number isn't necessarily a lower bill. And a quoted plan may bundle lines you'd pay for separately elsewhere: Artisan says every plan comes with onboarding and sending infrastructure sized to your motion.

The same volume, priced each way

Here is what the published prices come to at 1,000 and 3,000 new contacts a month, before add-ons.

Plan type (example)1,000 contacts a month3,000 contacts a monthHow the bill moves
Per contact (AiSDR, $1.50)$1,500$4,500, or as low as $2,700 if a team plan is 40% lowerRises with every contact
Per recommended lead (HubSpot, $1)Up to $1,000, plus your HubSpot subscriptionUp to $3,000, plus subscriptionOnly leads it recommends outreach for are charged
Flat agent fee (Agent Frank, $499)$499, which is $0.50 a contactAsk: at the stated $0.25 a contact, $750Flat up to the plan's volume
Metered actions (Agentforce, $0.10)$1,000 if each lead takes 10 actions$3,000 at 10 actions a leadDepends on how many steps each lead triggers
Platform plan (Amplemarket Startup)$600, committed for a year ($7,200)$600 within the plan's contact and credit limitsFlat until you add users or move up a plan

The 10 actions a lead is illustrative. Agentforce bills each step an agent takes, so ask the vendor to show the action count for one typical lead, from first research to a booked meeting, then multiply.

Costs that aren't on the pricing page

Sending mailboxes and domains. Send AI outreach from separate domains so a bad week doesn't damage your main one, and spread the volume across several mailboxes. Vendors price this differently: AiSDR lists a warmed-up mailbox at $33 (the page doesn't say whether that's monthly), Unify lists managed mailboxes at $25 a mailbox a month on its Business plan, and Salesforge lists its Agent Frank infrastructure add-on at $416 a month. Artisan says its plans are sized to "lead volume, mailboxes, and dialer seats", so mailboxes are inside the quote.

Data. AiSDR says research, lists and writing "cost nothing extra". HubSpot's agent sources contacts from ZoomInfo, Apollo, Surfe and Seamless; its page doesn't say whether that data carries a separate charge, so ask.

LinkedIn. AiSDR says you need Sales Navigator only for InMails. Sales Navigator Core is $119.99 a month per license, or $1,079.88 a year.

Review time. Use a mode where a person approves drafts for the first weeks (HubSpot and Artisan both document one). Price that time: the Bureau of Labor Statistics puts the average employer cost for a full-time private-industry worker at $54.00 an hour (June 2026). Four hours a week is $11,232 a year.

Overage and unused allowances. HubSpot bills usage past your monthly credit limit per credit, and unused credits expire at month end. Salesforce bills overage monthly in arrears at your contracted rate, and unused Flex Credits don't roll into the next term. AiSDR sends an in-app notification when a subscription reaches its volume cap.

Managed help. AiSDR lists $149 for a GTM engineer to build one campaign, or $2,500 a month to run the whole channel.

Worked example: one quarter, two quotes

Illustrative example. The company, the volumes and the results are invented; the two prices are the published ones above.

The team: Ridgeline Payroll (ridgeline.example) sells payroll software to construction contractors with 20 to 200 employees. It wants to test an AI SDR on 1,000 new contacts a month for one quarter, with a manager approving drafts for four hours a week.

The two quotes: Option A is per-contact pricing at $1.50 with six mailboxes at $33 a month. Option B is a $499 monthly agent fee billed quarterly, with the $416 monthly infrastructure add-on. To isolate cost, assume both produce the same results: 24 meetings booked, 18 held and 7 qualified opportunities.

LineOption A: per contactOption B: flat fee
Software fees3,000 × $1.50 = $4,5003 × $499 = $1,497
Mailboxes or infrastructure6 × $33 × 3 = $5943 × $416 = $1,248
Review time52 hours × $54 = $2,80852 hours × $54 = $2,808
Quarter total$7,902$5,553
Cost per held meeting (18)$439$309
Cost per qualified opportunity (7)$1,129$793
Review time as a share of the bill36%51%

What if it fails? Say Ridgeline stops after six weeks. Option A has spent 1,500 × $1.50 = $2,250 in fees, two months of mailboxes ($396) and 24 hours of review ($1,296): $3,942. Option B is committed for the quarter: $1,497 + $1,248 + $1,296 = $4,041. The two cost about the same if the test fails at six weeks; after that, the flat fee is cheaper, and before it, pay as you go is.

What it shows: the software fee is the line people negotiate, but in option B the person approving drafts costs more than the software and sending setup together. Cutting review time safely, by turning every rejected draft into a rule, saves more than a discount would. For comparison, a fully loaded human SDR at quota costs about $1,350 per held meeting on the assumptions in what an SDR costs.

Annual discounts: when they pay

If there's a real chance you'll stop after one or two quarters, the shorter term is cheaper even at the higher rate.

How to get a quote you can compare

  1. Fix your volume: new contacts a month, by segment, for the first quarter.
  2. Send every vendor the same request (the template below), so the quotes cover the same work.
  3. Get the billing unit defined in writing, including what happens to bounced, duplicate and re-contacted people.
  4. Ask for every add-on the quoted plan needs to run: mailboxes, domains, warm-up, data, LinkedIn and dialer seats.
  5. Ask for the shortest term available for the first quarter, even at a higher rate.
  6. Build the quarter total with review time at $54 an hour, as in the worked example.
  7. Test on your own accounts before you sign anything longer, with the AI sales tool test.
AI SDR quote request
Subject: Pricing for a 3-month AI SDR pilot

Hi [name],

We're comparing AI SDR tools for a pilot and are asking each vendor the same questions.

Volume: [1,000] new contacts a month for 3 months, in [segment, e.g. construction firms with 20 to 200 employees, US].
Channels: email only for the pilot. [No LinkedIn automation.]
Approval: a person will approve every message for the first [4] weeks.

Please send:
1. The total for 3 months at that volume, with every line item.
2. Your billing unit, and whether bounced, duplicate or re-contacted people are charged.
3. Any add-ons the plan needs to run: mailboxes, domains, warm-up, data, LinkedIn, dialer.
4. What happens if we reach the volume limit, and whether unused allowance rolls over.
5. The shortest term you offer, the notice period and the renewal price.
6. Whether we can test on our own accounts before paying, and for how long.

Thanks,
[Your name]

What to ask a vendor about price

The quote request covers the basics. Ask these as well, and get the answers in writing:

  • If we contact the same person again next quarter, are we charged again?
  • Are we charged for a contact the AI researches but decides not to email?
  • Is the trial the same product, data and model as the paid plan?
  • Can we export every contact, message and reply if we leave?

If what you need is the list and the research rather than automated sending, Bebop finds matching companies and contacts, explains why each fits and drafts outreach for a person to send, on one plan at $149 a month for 5,000 credits.

Next step: put your quarter total next to the human alternative in what an SDR costs against AI.

Questions people ask

How much does an AI SDR cost?

Published prices checked on 30 October 2026 range from $1 per lead (HubSpot's Prospecting Agent) and $1.50 per person (AiSDR) to flat fees such as $499 a month for Salesforge's Agent Frank and $600 a month for Amplemarket's annual Startup plan. Artisan and Qualified publish no price. At 1,000 contacts a month, fees run from about $500 to $1,500, before mailboxes, LinkedIn seats and the time someone spends reviewing drafts.

What costs are not included in AI SDR pricing?

The usual extras are sending mailboxes and domains, LinkedIn Sales Navigator if the tool sends InMails ($119.99 a month for Core), contact data on some plans, overage past a volume cap, and managed setup. The biggest is often review time: four hours a week at the BLS average employer cost of $54 an hour is $11,232 a year. Ask each vendor for every add-on the quoted plan needs.

Is an AI SDR cheaper than a human SDR?

Per held meeting, often yes, if the meetings are as good. A fully loaded human SDR at quota costs about $1,350 per held meeting on public pay, benefit and quota data, while an AI SDR quarter in our illustrative example cost $309 to $439 per held meeting including review time. The fair test is cost per qualified opportunity on a randomly split list, because AI-booked meetings may convert less often.

What is a Salesforce Flex Credit?

A Flex Credit is Salesforce's unit for metered Agentforce use. Salesforce's pricing page, checked 30 October 2026, lists 100,000 Flex Credits for $500, with each Agentforce action costing 20 credits (about $0.10) and each voice action 30 credits. Unused credits don't roll into the next term, and usage past your balance is billed monthly in arrears. Salesforce also offers $2 per conversation, but not in the same org.

Should I sign an annual AI SDR contract?

Only if you'd keep the tool for a year anyway. An annual plan at 20% off, as AiSDR offers against quarterly, costs the same as 9.6 months at the full rate, so it only saves money if you'd stay all four quarters. Start on the shortest term available, prove cost per qualified opportunity on your own list, then take the discount when you renew.
