Lusha alternatives, chosen by why you're leaving

Lusha is cheap to start and expensive to call from: a phone number costs five of its credits. The right alternative depends on whether your problem is phone costs, seats, coverage or what your reps say once they reach someone.

Comparison12 min readUpdated

Short answer

The best Lusha alternative depends on why you're leaving. If phone numbers burn your credits, look at UpLead, RocketReach, ContactOut or Kaspr, where a phone doesn't cost five times an email. For one tool with sequencing and a dialer, Apollo. For enterprise coverage and intent, ZoomInfo or Cognism (quote only). For emails only, Hunter. Compare cost per usable contact: on 26 October 2026 a phone number cost 5 Lusha credits and 8 Apollo credits.

  • Name your reason first: phone costs, seat limits, coverage, workflow or research.
  • A Lusha phone reveal costs 5 credits; UpLead's single credit includes the mobile, and RocketReach and ContactOut plans include phones.
  • Lusha's seat ladder (1 on Starter, up to 10 on Pro, up to 25 on Premium) decides more bills than its credit price.
  • Check renewal terms before you sign: Lusha asks for 14 days' notice; Seamless.AI's terms ask for 60 days on an annual contract.
  • Test on 20 to 50 contacts you know, and count wrong records as a cost.
On this page

This page is for founders, SDR managers and RevOps people who use Lusha, or nearly bought it, and want to know whether another tool fits better. First write down three numbers: how many people run lookups, how many new contacts each needs a month, and how many need a phone number. Lusha's pricing turns on all three.

How we compared

Blackpearl Group wrote this page, and one of the options compared is its own product (marked "we make it" below). We set these rules before writing:

  • Selection. Each option replaces at least one Lusha job and appeared in the Lusha alternatives lists among the top search results on 26 October 2026, most of them written by vendors that rank themselves first.
  • Facts. Every price, credit rule and seat limit comes from the vendor's own pricing page or help docs, read on 26 October 2026. Where a vendor publishes no prices, we say "quote only". Prices are list prices before tax.
  • No hands-on scores. We haven't tested these databases head to head, so there are no ratings. The two-week test below is the one to run on your own contacts.
  • Fairness. For each option, we say when Lusha is still the better fit.

From Lusha's pricing page and FAQ: an email reveal costs 1 credit, a phone number 5 and company information 1, and a lookup with no match costs nothing. Monthly plans roll unused credits over up to twice the monthly limit; annual plans get all credits up front and reset at year end. Data Waterfall, which checks outside providers when Lusha has no match, costs 2 credits for an email and 8 for a phone, only on a confirmed match.

Worked example: one founder, 200 contacts a month

Illustrative example. The agency and volumes are invented. Prices are list prices published on 26 October 2026, before tax or discounts.

The team: Ridgeway Outbound (ridgeway.example) is a founder-led agency that sells outbound programs to contract manufacturers: machine shops, injection molders and metal finishers with 50 to 500 staff. The founder runs every lookup. Each month she needs 200 new contacts with a verified email, and 80 of them (plant managers and operations directors) also need a mobile number for Friday call blocks.

Credits needed each month:

  • Lusha: 200 emails × 1 + 80 phones × 5 = 200 + 400 = 600 credits
  • Apollo: 200 × 1 + 80 × 8 = 200 + 640 = 840 credits
  • UpLead: 200 contacts × 1 = 200 credits (email and mobile in one credit)
  • RocketReach: 200 lookups on a plan that includes phones
  • Kaspr: 200 emails (unlimited B2B emails) and 80 phone credits
OptionDoes it fit?Billed monthlyBilled yearly (per month)Cost per contact (monthly)
Lusha StarterNo: 400 credits, 600 needed
Lusha ProYes: exactly 600 of 600 credits$69.90$52.45$0.35
Apollo Basic, 1 seatYes: 840 of 2,500 credits$65$49$0.33
UpLead Essentials plus 30 extra creditsYes: 170 + 30 × $0.60 = $18$117$0.59
RocketReach ProYes: 200 of 250 lookups$99$69$0.50
ContactOut Email + PhoneYes: 200 of 600 exports$99$0.50
Kaspr StarterYes: 80 of 100 phone credits$65$49$0.33

Cost per contact is the monthly bill divided by 200: for example, $69.90 ÷ 200 = $0.35.

What changes the answer:

  • Every contact needs a mobile. Lusha then needs 200 × 6 = 1,200 credits, double Pro's allowance: Premium at $399.90 or extra credits on Pro. Apollo needs 200 × 9 = 1,800, still one Basic seat. UpLead, RocketReach and ContactOut don't change. Kaspr needs 200 phone credits, its Business plan ($99 monthly, $79 yearly).
  • A second person needs to log in. Lusha Pro already includes two seats. Apollo adds a seat. UpLead's Essentials and Plus are single-user, so a second user means a second account. Hunter (emails only) includes unlimited users.
  • Accuracy. Ten percentage points more wrong records is 20 bad records a month here. At three four-minute touches each, that's four hours of the founder's time, worth more than most of the price gaps above. The same arithmetic for a three-rep team is in Apollo alternatives.

Run a two-week test on contacts you know

Vendor accuracy figures describe their own samples: Lusha, for example, states 98% email accuracy and 85% US phone accuracy. This test measures your market.

  1. Build a truth set. Pick 20 to 50 contacts whose email and phone you know are right because they replied or answered in the last six months. Include your hardest segment.
  2. Set pass marks first. For example: at least 70% of buyers found, under 3% hard bounces, and at least half of mobiles connecting to the right person.
  3. Use the free tiers, then one paid month. Free allowances rarely cover 50 contacts with phones, so budget one monthly-billed month for your top two.
  4. Run the same lookups on the same day. Same companies and roles in every tool, no names supplied.
  5. Score every record. +1 for the right person, in their current role, with a working email or number; 0 for a plausible record you can't confirm; -1 for a wrong person, someone who has left, a bounce or a wrong number. This mirrors the scoring in GTM-Bench, Blackpearl Group's June 2026 benchmark of AI prospecting systems, where records below its quality bar score -1 and several general-purpose AI agents finished with negative net scores.
  6. Dial the phones. A number that rings someone else costs more than an empty field.
  7. Work out cost per usable contact. Monthly price ÷ (contacts × share scoring +1). If 75% of Lusha Pro's records score +1 for Ridgeway: $69.90 ÷ (200 × 0.75) = $69.90 ÷ 150 = $0.47.

Decision and why:

Best fit and limitations for each option

Apollo. Best for: small teams that want data, unlimited sequences and a US dialer in one subscription. Limitations: a phone costs 8 credits against Lusha's 5, and annual plans can't be downgraded mid-term. Lusha is the better fit if: you want simple reveals from a browser extension.

UpLead. Best for: one rep who calls as much as they email, since one credit unlocks email and mobile. Limitations: Essentials and Plus are single-user with small allowances, and team features are on the annual Professional plan. Lusha is the better fit if: you need two or more seats on a monthly plan.

RocketReach. Best for: individuals who want email and phone in one lookup, refunded when nothing verified comes back. Limitations: Essentials is email only, and exports are capped separately from lookups. Lusha is the better fit if: you want monthly rollover or two included seats.

ContactOut. Best for: one user who reveals many emails and phones and exports a few hundred a month. Limitations: prices were marked limited-time, plans allow one user per company, and team or API use is quote only. Lusha is the better fit if: several people need logins.

Kaspr. Best for: reps who prospect from LinkedIn and Sales Navigator, particularly in Europe. Limitations: phone credits are capped at 100 or 200 a month per user. Lusha is the better fit if: you prospect from company websites and CRMs as much as LinkedIn.

Hunter. Best for: email-first teams that find addresses from a company domain, with unlimited users on every plan. Limitations: no phone numbers. Lusha is the better fit if: your reps call.

ZoomInfo. Best for: larger teams that want broad data, buyer intent (on the Copilot tiers) and marketing products under one contract. Limitations: quote only, and each export costs a credit. Lusha is the better fit if: you want published prices and no sales cycle.

Cognism. Best for: teams of five or more selling into Europe that care about mobile quality; Pro adds on-demand mobile verification and Bombora intent data. Limitations: quote only, and both plans include five seats. Lusha is the better fit if: you're one or two people.

Bebop (we make it). Best for: teams that need better targeting and preparation: describe the companies you want and get matching accounts and contacts, why each fits, and a playbook with the angle to open with. Limitations: it isn't a browser extension for one-off reveals; $149 a month for one user with 5,000 credits. Lusha is the better fit if: you need quick reveals on profiles you've already found.

Stay, switch or add?

Stay with Lusha if your work is mostly email, your team fits a plan's seat range, and your test shows its data holds up. Check the yearly price first: it's 25% off.

Switch if more than about a third of your contacts need a mobile and a tool whose credit includes the phone tests as well; you need more seats than Lusha's plans allow; or you want data, sequences and a dialer on one bill.

Add a research tool if reps reach the right people but don't know what to say. Before you sign with any vendor, ask the sourcing questions in sales intelligence platforms compared.

Next step: if your shortlist includes RocketReach or Seamless.AI, see how they compare with their own rivals in RocketReach alternatives and Seamless.AI alternatives.

Questions people ask

What is the best alternative to Lusha?

There isn't one best alternative; it depends on why you're leaving. For phone-heavy work, UpLead (one credit covers email and mobile), RocketReach Pro or ContactOut cost less per phone than Lusha's 5 credits. For data, sequences and a dialer in one tool, Apollo. For enterprise data and intent, ZoomInfo or Cognism, which are quote only. For emails only, Hunter. Test your top two on 20 to 50 contacts you know.

Is there a free alternative to Lusha?

Several tools have free tiers, though none replace a paid plan. On 26 October 2026, Apollo's free plan gave 75 credits per seat a month, Hunter's 50 credits a month (emails only), Kaspr's 15 B2B emails and 5 phone numbers a month, ContactOut's 5 emails, 5 phones and 5 exports a day, and RocketReach 5 lookups. Lusha's own free plan gives 40 credits a month, so compare it too.

How much does Lusha cost?

On 26 October 2026, Lusha's pricing page listed Free (40 credits a month), Starter at $49.90 a month or $37.45 billed yearly (400 credits a month, 1 seat), Pro at $69.90 or $52.45 (600 credits, 2 seats), Premium at $399.90 or $299.95 (3,400 credits, 5 seats) and a custom Scale plan. An email reveal costs 1 credit and a phone number 5, so phone-heavy teams use credits fastest.

Who are Lusha's main competitors?

The tools most often compared with Lusha are Apollo, ZoomInfo, Cognism, UpLead, RocketReach, Kaspr, ContactOut, Seamless.AI and Hunter. They split into enterprise platforms priced by quote (ZoomInfo, Cognism), self-serve databases with published prices (Apollo, UpLead, RocketReach, ContactOut, Kaspr) and email-only finders (Hunter). Which competitor fits depends on your phone mix, seat count and region.

Is Lusha better than Apollo?

For phone numbers, Lusha charges 5 credits against Apollo's 8, and its monthly plans roll unused credits over. Apollo gives far more credits per dollar (2,500 per Basic seat at $65 a month) and adds sequences and a US dialer. A rep doing quick reveals from a browser extension may prefer Lusha; a team that wants one tool for data and outreach usually prefers Apollo. Test both on contacts you know.
